Children devo on 13 July, Friday

Thanks the lovely couples who spare their precious Friday night to convey God's teaching through fun-seeking games to our kids.

By using Luke 2 and a related film excerpt, a list of questions are set to draw the children's attention to the Bible. To our delight, the children love Bible Story very much and are keen on seeking for answers to the questions....

濃情七日-Day 3 to 7

The campaign goes on in different ways of expression by different sisters in one heart - to love Connie with the love of God.

Doris - 3rd day - a piece cake and God's words delivered to Connie's office;
Vivian - 4th day - a lovely flower pot (it must be very beautiful though I don't have the picture, because I feel the two sisters (discipler and disciple) are drawn towards each other closer and closer.) Awesome. This is a particular Love Language Connie appreciates.
Lucy - 5th day sent her some special treat and card loaded with God's words inspires Connie to come to House Church despite her tight work schedule.
Maria - 6th day sent her special gift (a hand-made photo frame) with a lovely photo (discipler and disciple).
all - 7th day sisters sharing a warm lunch with Connie after Sunday service.

Plus the spiritual support from Georgina and Stella.....

濃情七日第二天

I have prepared some Ling Zhi herbal tea for Connie on Monday morning. This is the second day of the programme. Delivered the tea to her in person to her office early in the morning before she goes to work. The tea hopefully lights up Connie's spirit and add oil and air to her relatively weak body.

More importantly is to instil love to her through godly LOVE.

We love because God loves us first.

濃情七日

I was really impressed by Chester 's preaching on24 June 2007.

From Wednesday QT on 27, I am quite entangled by Connie's stress in almost all aspects in life and felt unloved or even abandoned. So I decided to call for a love campaign to Connie known as 濃情七日. Each of us will take up a date to serve or enjoy something personally and feel excited to the giver in the pursuit. Thanks for girls' support. The campaign gets aflight.

Furthermore, Bonnie moved a step forward. She actioned. In Bonnie-bt blog http://bonnie-bt.blogspot.com/2007/07/uc.html. She further elaborated as

Gary Chapman「愛的語言」:-

五種「愛的語言」包括:

1. Words of affirmation 肯定的言語。包括鼓勵的話語、仁慈的話語、謙遜的話語。William James 說過「人最深處的需要可能是感覺被欣賞」，對配偶的喜歡之事常表示口頭的讚賞，對不喜歡之事抑制你的抱怨。

2.Quality Time 精心的時刻。把注意力集中在對方身上，全心全意跟對方一起作些他喜歡的事，包括；精心的同在一起，給予對方全部的注意力、精心的會話，焦點在傾聽、精心的活動，全心全意跟對方一起作些他喜歡的事。

3. Gift 接受禮物。包括；把自己當成禮物，當配偶需要你時，你就在那裡陪伴，或是購買禮物，但禮物不需要是昂貴的。

4.Act of Service 服務的行動。藉著為對方服務來表達愛意，如: 幫忙作家事、溜狗、洗車、做一餐美味的菜肴。

5.Body Touch 身體的接觸。講這種「愛的語言」的人會渴望對方伸出手來撫摸他們，如:用手梳理配偶的頭髮、撫摸背部、牽手、擁抱、按摩對方的腳。

以上的五種愛的表達，那一種是我的長處呢？

In consequence, Bonnie did it first.

Bonnie cooked Japanese Pumpkin Tempura for Connie. The Japanese Pumpkin was planted in bonnie's experimental organic farm. Connie said, "Excellent taste!" "yummy, yummy!" remarked by me after reading this.

Bonnie also gave Connie some freshly harvested Taiwan Basil home. Connie said, "Wonderful aroma, it's even better than a bunch of flower!" Moreover, we had a hearty talk and I gave Connie big big hugs. It seems I did #1, 2,3,4 and 5 loving language in just one evening. Psalm 46 & 42

Psalm 46:10

In a hectic daily schedule, this scripture strikes me a lot. Be Still & know that I am the Lord. I throw this to remind myself as well Connie (who is busy with her work and feels burnt out). If I didn't reserve time for God with me or solitude, I will be easily crashed by emotions, attacks, challenges. I will feel helpless easily.

Think a while, what REST means to me?

"Be Still & know that I am the Lord" means to me.

Yes, to me, REST means:-

• Green pasture
• nature walk
• spending QT with my daughters
• nurture my spiritual child brain regularly, let it throw, let it flow, let it fly......

I told Connie that I would read Psalm 46 orally the evening before. Moreover, I wrote her an e-mail for this, too. She mixed up and read her Psalm 42.

This somehow reveals her confusion and entanglement in her heart, and in her mind.

Pray for her to have really a rest and not just an escape from home with a stuffed heart and mind.

BE STILL

敬畏上主的人多麼有福啊！遵行他命令的人多麼有福啊！１２８：１

惟喜愛耶和華的律法，晝夜思想，這人便為有福．

不斷提及福字，也多仔細看多一眼福字．

福　－　左旁是　”示”，右旁是一　＋　口　＋　田．
左旁顧名思義是神有關的．從祭祀，從神字部．
右旁有　”一”　字，即是一心一意，從一而終，說一不二．
口　－　是不是和口有關－　是有口碑，有好名聲，與人和好．
田　－　自然是有田地－有神在心，一心一意地事奉，又務與人和好，有好名聲，自然事事順利．有田又有地．

施比受更為有福．

教曉我對有福的人的見解如下：－
Blessed -a humble heart
-a repenting / broken heart
-a meek/soft heart
-a righteous heart
-a pure hearat
-a peace-making heart
-a heart suffers from upholding righteousness.
