Psalm 51 - My body & my spirit

David, after committing the adultery, felt broken and repented and expressed his repenting heart and poured out himself in this Psalm 51. Despite David's sins, God loved him and acknowledged his love because He saw David's heart. In return, David experienced and full embraced God's forgiveness. He spoke in v17 , "the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart. O God, you will not despise."

We, are all common people, and are fallible. But I learn from David how to build up a wonderful and awesome relationship with God:-

I will focus to pray in this perspective.

Psalm 136

God reminds us 36 times " His grace lasts for forever" in this Psalm.

If not for HIS forever grace and reminder, we easily drift away by our daily chores, daily struggles, daily greed.....our problems....our difficulties, our pride, our enemies, our weakness..... How dreadful it is.

So I am determined to pick up the sweet memories with God over the years. Just like God reminded the Israelites how HE helped them run away from salvation in Egypt. But Israelites were timid and greedy who never thought of fending themselves and taking initative in their growths nor chaning themselves. They grumbled for the lackage and complained Moses for taking them out of Egypt and left them in the wilderness without food or water.... Me? We grumble? We are afraid?

Thanks Psalm 136 for drawing me back to get focused at God's forever grace and walk with me whenever up or down. Thanks God for giving me a wonderful biological family as well as spiritual home.

Starting a wonderful QT, shower with god's grace plus a cheerful sunny day.... which opens my day.

A memorable hiking during our Dp TIME

I am always cherishing the DP with my discipler. God has given her the wisdom and vision and experience exposure in commerce over years and the sharing heart to provide the environment for us. Beyond giving us a free-hand to grow up and more important is that she walks with us in the course.

This is my dream since childhood that I can have a sister to share my inner most..... In Kingdom, sisters around me are teaching me a lot how to relate to scriptures & to grow and grow with conviction and vision and wisdom.

Though I was not sleeping well last night for the passaway of my beloved uncle, I projected the very limited time span for sharing with my parents in their agehood. I feel the helpless and uneasiness ....... I couldn't help crying and crying. Hosea 12:1 strikes & reminds me,"Ephraim has surrounded me with lies, the ouse of Israel with deceit....Ephraim feeds on the wind; he pursues the east wind all day and multiples lies and violence...... "
希望吹的只是東風,不是無情風.可以愛的,也別愛得太遲.
So I spent hours chatting and kept companion with my parents after DP time. Such a heartwarming morning which restrengthens me a lot and a lot.

Creating a loving God environment for our next generation

I believe that it takes a village to rear a kid. Really feel the almighty and love of my Lord that endures forever.

We arrange a devo for the kids (early teens) in our BT. Thanks for the devoted and convicted couple ( in fact, the young father was my student once upon a time) who spared their precious off-work time and their own family time on Friday night and love of God to conduct this devo to the kids including Hin(13?), Elsie (11), Janice(11) & Cherie(11). A wonderful and powerful debate was set up on the motion : the Herodias/Herod vs the Baptist John. The kids enjoyed it very much.

The girls spent a cheerful evening and even stayed overnight together. Their happy time extended beyond Saturday with skating. It is really a big step forward for our next generation to share bible beyond Sunday Children's Church.

Parents please create a loving-god environment by all means for the next generation before they are too "old" to pick up and experience the love & friendship in Church. It endures... I am very enchanted by my elder daugther mentioning that how contented and feel special that she becomes a Christian at her teens. I believe that this enchantment will spread to my younger daughter ...my nieces...my nephews...my girls and boys in my spiritual family and beyond.....

融冰之旅的延續

My girls have cultivated their own dating momentum - once every 13th of the month. They had a 2nd dating this 13 April, Friday. Though they have not briefed me the details what they have done in the appointment, I feel that they enjoy every much this arrangement. They cherish and treasure very much because before that they've spent time making special arrangement for it. But I advise that they'd better fix the venue in vicinity for the elder sister will sit for her public exam. Don't bother taking time on bus now. They agree and enjoy another dating near the home.

They have snack and buy some stationery and share their viewpoint about friendship and perhaps their experience, too.

So heartwarming and lovely Power Talk.....

Connected with Nature

One of our PowerPuff Ladies cried for a release from her stuffing heart. After a caring PowerTalk, we aired to have a hiking - connecting our heart to the nature , the greenery which helps to pump the green power to our body and release our heart.

A hiking was organized on 7 April morning.

Though we started with some chaos, 11 of us started walking down from park around Wan Chai Gap at 11:45. We hiked softly for an hour and ended our trip in Aberdeen. Then we lunched on the Boat Restuarant at Aberdeen. This is a typical adventure when we escort our friends from overseas but for us - a typical Hongkongese does enjoy. Some of us seldom lunch here on a care-free occasion. We further refresh ourselves by taking a $20 ride on a sampan on the Aberdeen sea. A wonderful and unexpected tour which adds a lot of sparkle to us.
We spent happy hours among sisterhood as well as between generations.

Psalm 111

Though with a rush in selecting which Psalm to open our Wednesday morning QT, God endorses us with a God-praising heart by inputting this Psalm into CL's mind by chance or by choice.

CL cited that the essence of this Psalm: the fear of the Lord being the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his percepts have good understanding. A fear of the Lord preserves our heart to pursue a godly life and which in turn renders us wisdom in our life application.

VL shared that she was in doubt as an almighty God, being the Creator of the world & all beings, we, a creature, dare-e-e-e to praise HIM. HE cares? HE treasures? It seems to be weird.

Iris remembers a story from Luke 17:11, Jesus praised the one and only one healed leper came back and gave praise to God. So is this the story that confirms God does love us to praise HIM and always give praise to HIM.

Iris even thought if we cherish a god-praising and thank-god heart, we will lead a joyful life. Psalm 100:4 "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." Praising others aloud or boldly sincerely contradicts our normal practice. We are shy to praise others and just keep the praise inside but blow up criticism without holding back. To have a new mindset, Iris is going to substitute her praise with critics and blessings with curse as her spiritual drill. When one has got used to praising others with sincerity, one is empowering others and arousing a loving and harmonious environment.

God is Love. Praise HIM always.

Psalm 37

We finally get a full attendance after a month. A trio morning QT resumed on the air this morning.

VL showered us with Psalm 37. Being a working lady, one will be easily entangled with a lot of unfairness, uneasiness or even envy if ONE GET OUT OF FOCUS. If we focus at world values, we will be easily torn by all these suffering and become self-pity & self-righteous. Come on, are we pursuing the $, the status, the career or our spirituality, our Lord's words and the praise from our God. Such kind of struggles proliferate day by day. VL encouraged us to GET FOCUSED ON GOD. God will be in charge of judging people not me. Mind our own business (with God) and hold accountable to ourselves towards our Lord. verses 1 to 4 of Psalm 37 provides the strength to VL.

CL fretted a lot recently for personal issues and got stuffed in the relationship with her loved ones and even with God. She confessed when everything is OK, she felt spiritually high and God was with her. But she rarely relied on God for comfort nor fo support when she was upset. This is the something that she had to catch up with and learn more: to rely on God for whatever the mood is or whenever the situation is. v8 & v9 are her insight : " refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret - it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but hose who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. Thanks for the Holy Spirit who leads us when we get lost sometime.

IL drew her strength from 5-6: "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this. he will make your rigteousness shine like the the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun." Refrain us from anger. For anger will make us sin and it is itself a sin. Genesis 4:7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." From time to time, we will be angry at something or with someoen, we must master the anger and face squarely to dump it. Think the ways to dump our anger just like dumping the rubbish daily at our house.

Ways:-
  • get ourselves connected with the nature. Viewing more greens can be a good way to grasp the "sympathetic vibrational frequency"of our heart. This energy flow helps to move the stagnant and blocked energy in our heart and this is what the colour healing counts.
  • air out to our friends and sisters to have rapport.
  • confess to God.
