Psalm 111
Though with a rush in selecting which Psalm to open our Wednesday morning QT, God endorses us with a God-praising heart by inputting this Psalm into CL's mind by chance or by choice.
CL cited that the essence of this Psalm: the fear of the Lord being the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his percepts have good understanding. A fear of the Lord preserves our heart to pursue a godly life and which in turn renders us wisdom in our life application.
VL shared that she was in doubt as an almighty God, being the Creator of the world & all beings, we, a creature, dare-e-e-e to praise HIM. HE cares? HE treasures? It seems to be weird.
Iris remembers a story from Luke 17:11, Jesus praised the one and only one healed leper came back and gave praise to God. So is this the story that confirms God does love us to praise HIM and always give praise to HIM.
Iris even thought if we cherish a god-praising and thank-god heart, we will lead a joyful life. Psalm 100:4 "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." Praising others aloud or boldly sincerely contradicts our normal practice. We are shy to praise others and just keep the praise inside but blow up criticism without holding back. To have a new mindset, Iris is going to substitute her praise with critics and blessings with curse as her spiritual drill. When one has got used to praising others with sincerity, one is empowering others and arousing a loving and harmonious environment.
God is Love. Praise HIM always.
