Job in sufferings from 12 to 35

From 5 Dec 2007 to 20 Feb, we keep on reading 2 chapters in Job and shared among each other every Wednesday morning.

Job's 3 friends kept on bombarding Job for they believed God is righteous & HE would reward the one doing good things and vice versa. They believed and condemned JOB for he must have committed sin and so he deserved the punishment.... In converse, Job resented and rebuked and cried for a fair judgement from God directly. They kept on rebuked and resented through long long chapters.

We understand more & more that we must always cherish a grateful heart in ups and in downs. This is very very hard to stay tuned to God especially during suffereings. Job, though a faithful man, started complaining his sufferings. Why do bad things happen to good people? Is God really in charge?

Karma? NO!

Perhaps, we cherish a conviction, even in hardship, God is still in control. Such a turmoil may not be attributed to God but it definitely poses a challenge and polish to one's charge -- stronger, mercier, more merciful.......and more reliance on God. "Putting God the first" is always the stronghold to overcome hardship and believing HE always provides and protects and gives the best to the ones HE loves.
